Writer’s Block

C.J. Guy

My name is C.J. Guy and I’m the founder of 3AM Creatives (Inspirational and Motivational Living) and 3TC Life the clothing brand (coming soon). I live in the Washington D.C. area but I come from the South Side of Greensboro N.C. I enjoy going to museums, reading, traveling, and just about anything involving physical activity. I’m an old Army veteran with multiple combat tours overseas. I currently work for . . .

Introductions are hard in these streets. An introduction is like that 30 second pitch to see if someone will like you or not. You are tasked with this somewhat impossible goal of making yourself seems simple, yet complex, funny, yet serious, and overall decent enough to keep someone interested after that initial 30 seconds. And here I am building the suspense, trying to make you think that I am this super mysterious puzzle . . .

Sometimes I wonder, “Who really cares what I have to say,” as if I have to be qualified to give an opinion. It’s the same wonderment that almost stopped me from hosting my first blog site in 2008 on Google Blogger. It’s the same wonderment that made me hesitant about posting here. I’m doing now like I did in 2008 and saying, regardless of who’s reading or who’s not, I have something to say, so i’m going to say it. Now, here I am . .

Vision Concepts

I’m warning you right now, you’ll either love me or hate me. Welcome to the musings of Vision Concept, Writer for Beyond Vision & Concept. My goal is the uplift and empower, but also bring kernels of truth to the light. The truth is not always easy to accept, sometimes the truth is downright uncomfortable. L’Tanya Nicole

Hi I’m L’Tanya Nicole (aka Suthungul). I’m absolutely ecstatic to be a Common Truce contributor. Before I proceed any further I feel it is only fair that I tell you my secret; I never sought out to be a blogger, it’s actually something that sort of happened. I had suddenly found myself unemployed and decided I wanted to write about it. I mean I’ve been writing as a hobby since I was a child, but I never fully acted on it . . .

I am HueyMF Booker! My friends describe me as a witty, cunning poet, story-teller, wannabe comedian, and lover of life that breaths in deeply. I crave passion, authenticity, and vibrance. I am passionate about getting people to actively live out their truth, particularly in their romantic relationships. I think many of us hide behind our religious beliefs, cultural practices and traditions, and societal norms without ever figuring . . .

I am Isolda “Soul” Reyes, I am new to the world of blogging but not writing. I am an avid writer of Poetry, short stories along with my eccentric thoughts seen in pictures. I am a mature woman and mother of 5 grown children and three grandchildren, all but one lives at home with me and two dogs Bruno and Heiress. I have a busy life with lots of moving parts, but still find time to pursue my passion for writing, fitness and wellness . . .

Love to Empower You

Growing up I wasn’t confident to speak up and out on my feelings or just to speak period. I was quiet , bashful and again did not have confidence. Childhood situations, growing pains, not knowing how to handle poor relationships contributed to my voice never finding its platform. I’m truly a combination of my parents, one not talkative, humble , and stern demeanor and the other expressive, sensitive and nurturing. . .

Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Roe, short for Ratonda, not to be mistakenly spelled as Rotonda. Because that is how most would assume my name was spelled, because I said my nickname was Roe. I am honored to be the mother of 2 of the most intelligent children I and their father, my soon to be ex-husband could have ever dreamed of to. My oldest is a resilient pre-teen who is direct but very sweet in her intentions.

Hello everyone, I am Chandler, but y’all can call me Chan. I’m a Floridian through and through, but DC is where I reside and it is growing on me. I moved here to do a couple of things: 1. Get a sense of change, and 2. Build my brand of photography. I am passionate of all things Black. Black lives, Black love, the Black struggle, Black beauty, y’all get it. I write about it because I think that I bring a different angle than others . . .

Hey, I’m Sheryl Nicole Prince aka Shey. Let’s just say my mama’s name game is strong! So let’s clap it up for her because without her, there would be no Sheryl Nicole, my up & coming lifestyle brand (I’ll tell you more about that later). Shey is a moniker given to me by my diva Aunt Poochie– God rest her soul…I miss her so much. Aunt Poochie was fearless, sassy, vibrant, and stylish. . .

Dating as a responsible single mom is one of the most difficult things to do. We all want to end up with a compatible mate who can serve as a role model for our child or children. Finding this can be challenging, but there are paths for someone right for you. Each month I will share with you how to avoid the dating pitfalls . . .

GBG Belle

My name is GBG Belle or Belle for short. For the curious, GBG equals GeekyBlackGurl, a name I picked up when I supported an internet radio show and describes a portion of my personality. As a new, aspiring blogger (writer), I’m excited to be a part of the CommonTruce Family and Community. I hope that the writings I share engage and inform, entertain and provide an enjoyable experience to those encountering the stories. . .

Ann E. Nigma

I lost a toenail this morning. I looked down and saw nine Mod About You painted toenails and one wearing only the pink flesh one would expect to see beneath a nail. I will call it my participation trophy: My award for effort to complete a race I did not finish. In place of a medal I was to receive from running the Chicago Marathon this past October. It will have to suffice.

Keeping it real, even when it feels uncomfortable! I’m LaShana and I am excited to share my blog with you! I am from the Midwest area, Topeka Kansas to be exact. But I was born in Germany. My dad was in the military so we traveled all over. I have been serving in the mental health field for over 15 years and I have learned a lot along the way.
